Very few professional golfers have captured the heart of their
nation like Shane Lowry.

Shane burst onto the golfing scene in 2009 as an amateur winning the European Tour title at the Irish Open in County Louth. Originally from County Offaly, Ireland, Shane is the son of an All-Ireland winning Gaelic football player, Brendan Lowry.

In 2009 Shane wowed the world, by becoming the third amateur to win a European Tour title at the Irish Open. He was the second golfer from the Republic of Ireland (after Padraig Harrington) to claim a Major Championship title in 2019.

Earlier that year, he had captured his first Rolex Series title at the 2019 Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship presented by EGA. Shane made his first Ryder Cup appearance in 2021 at Whistling Straits.

Shane continues to win the hearts and minds of golf lovers throughout the world.
